Last night while at work I noticed an interesting show on NBC, the show starts out with a Boy Scout troop in the woods, boring enough but soon the Boy Scouts are attacked, but by what? After the attack we see the troop in a car hiding and a young boy rising from the bushes without a shirt and we hear the very prominent Munsters theme song play. Yes, Mockingbird Lane is a remake of the hit show 'The Munsters'.
After this we see a young blonde girl wearing a short pink dress. A comical scene passes between her and the real estate agent after which she has purchased 1313 Mockingbird lane.
The show was comical and the characters are more appealing to the eyes and more modern. Grandpa continuously saves Herman by replacing his heart as it is held together by staples. Herman is played by Jerry O'Connell with Grandpa played by Eddie Izzard. In this Pilot Grandpa tries to entrance the neighbors as his slaves, Eddie(our little werewolf going trough puberty) joins a new Boy Scout troop and deals with his changes. Of course at the end of the episode we see Grandpa has killed Eddie's troop leader and given his heart to Herman.
The episode was cute. The special effects were very cheesy and I would hope that if they continue this show NBC will provide more funding to that department, but other than that The show was enjoyable. My favorite character would have to be Marilyn Her being the only normal member of the family and her choice of clothing is appealing to this generation.
Overall I give this Pilot a 8/10

A Very Potter Musical Quotes
Ron Weasley: Oh my God, lay off, Malfoy! She may be a pain in the ass, but she's my pain in the ass.
Hermione Granger: The horcrux could be hidden anywhere! It could entail countless months of camping in the mundane British country side, breaking into Gringotts, and drinking boatloads of polyjuice potion.
Harry Potter: Well, the medallion says that's dumb, so we're not doing that.
Albus Dumbledore: You have to figure out what you want.
Draco Malfoy: I want Hermione Granger!... And a rocketship.
Rumbleroar: RUMBLEROAR!
Albus Dumbledore: Malfoy, you little shit.
Harry Potter: Haven't you heard? Voldemort's back, Quirell's crazy, Cedric's dead!
Hermione Granger: Yes, I have heard those things, about a thousand times. But never with so much sass. You're acting like Garfield on a Monday.
Draco Malfoy: Kiss the planet goodbye? Having second thoughts about PIGFARTS are you?
Draco Malfoy: You know who I think is the ugliest girl in school? That Hermine Granger! You know what I would give her on a scale of 1 to 10? 1 would be the ugliest and 10 pretty... I would give her an 8... 8.5... or a 9... Not, not over a 9.8 cause there is always room for improvement. Not everyone is perfect, like me. That's why I'm holding out for a 10. Because I'm worth it!
Lavender Brown: Professor? Can, like, a person be a portkey?
Severus Snape: No that's ABSURD! If that person were to TOUCH themselves
[looks at Ron]
Severus Snape: they would constantly be transported into different places.
Cedric: "Hufflepuffs are particularly good finders!"
Dumbledore: "What the HELL is a Hufflepuff?"
Cedric: "*Sits down*"
Albus Dumbledore: And another very special welcome to our newest member of Gryffindor, Mr. Ginny, excuse me, Ms. Ginny Weasley.
Ginny Weasley: Yeah, I'm a girl, and, um, also aren't we supposed to be sorted by the, um, Sorting Hat?
Albus Dumbledore: Well, uh, a funny thing happened to the Sorting Hat. He actually got hitched with another piece of enchanted magical clothing. So he and the Scarf of Sexual Preference aren't going to be back until next year.
Ginny Weasley: Oh.
Albus Dumbledore: Basically I've just been putting anybody who looks like a good guy into Gryffindor, anybody who looks like a bad guy into Slytherin, and the other two can just go wherever the hell they want, I don't really care.
Lord Voldemort: My new world is about to unfold.
Quirinus Quirrell: You got beat by a two year old!
Lord Voldemort: I'll kill him this time through and through!
Quirinus Quirrell: Or you might just give him another tattoo.
Quirinus Quirrell: Yes, my dark king!
Lord Voldemort: Okay, just relax with the dark king, okay? I watch you wipe your butt daily, you can call me Voldemort, we're there! We've reached that point.

50/50 Review
Last night I had the chance to watch the 2011 film 50/50 Starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Seth Rogan. The film is about Adam, a 27-year-old guy who learns of his cancer diagnosis. The film is a comedy drama Based on the true story of writer Will Reiser, who was diagnosed with cancer and later recovered.
The music:
The music in the movie grabbed me completely. The sound was very indie and captured the emotion of the movie.
Actors:
Joseph Gordon-Levitt was astounding in this film. Adam is very health and safety conscious, he shows so in little characteristics such as biting his nails and not owning a drivers license. He's timid and let's his rude girlfriend walk all over him. His girlfriend is played by Bryce Dallas Howard who played Hilly in The Help.
Adam's therapist Katherine is played by Anna Kendrick, who we know from the Twilight saga as Jessica, Bella's self centered friend.
And lastly Adams best friend Kyle is played by the hilarious Seth Rogen.
The film overall was fantastic, easily one of my favorites.
IMDB rating: 7.8/10
My rating: 9/10

Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 2
Breaking Dawn Part 2; the last installment to the Twilight saga. I have to say I'm excited for this movie. I read the books when I was in the 7th grade like every other tween girl hooked on vampire romance. I've seen all the other movies and I have to say I was very disappointed in them. However, Part 1 was pretty good, I would give it a 7/10, but maybe that's because I loved the book and the music in the film. Speaking of music, the soundtrack for the film was released recently. Soundtrack release article
Sad to say Muse will not be returning to the soundtrack of the Twilight Saga.
